ULTRA HI-BOND ACRYLIC TAPE APPLICATION PROCEDURES Substrate evaluation: Acrylic adhesive tape is suitable for bonding a variety of substrates, including many plastics, composites, sealed wood and metals. Polyethylene polypropylene, silicones and teflon present a bonding problem. As with any adhesive product primers may improve the bonding process for difficult surfaces. Substrate preparation: Clean surfaces with a solvent, preferably isopropanol alcohol no more than 15 minutes before bonding. Wipe with a clean, lint free cloth. Temperature of the surface should not be below 60° F. Note: shelf life = 1 year!
