Encapsulants and potting compounds are resins or adhesives that are used to encapsulate circuit boards and semiconductors, fill containers of electronic components, and infiltrate electrical coils. All conformal coatings contain a UV indicator enabling blacklight visualization of the coating. Encapsulants cure in seconds upon exposure to UV and/or visible light to produce tough, flexible encapsulants for bare die, wire bonds, or integrated circuits (IC).

Conformal Coatings - are used to protect rigid and flexible printed circuit boards from environmental contaminants and vibration. Quantum Silicones' conformal coating products are very low viscosity, one-component, thermally cured liquid silicone elastomers. These products have excellent dielectric properties and can withstand temperatures from -60 to 240⁰C.

Encapsulants and silicone potting materials are the ideal choice for protecting sensitive electronic components from extreme environments. Silicone encapsulants and silicone potting materials withstand temperatures from -115 to 300⁰C while protecting the components from vibration, moisture and atmospheric contaminants. Light curing conformal coatings cure tack free in seconds upon exposure to ultraviolet and/or visible light. Each conformal coating is solvent-free and low VOC, eliminating the need for solvent handling while enhancing worker safety and minimizing environmental impact.
