SILICONE COATINGS
Chemical Concepts™ offers a line of silicones which have found wide
use in generating hydrophobic coatings for active surfaces, hard
coatings for electronics, thermally stable laminate coatings and soft
coatings for medical devices.

resinous silicone solution that reacts with siliceous substrates
generating a hydrophobic coating. Silicones
using water borne silicone emulsion useful as a
non-toxic releasing agent. Silicones to provide hydrocarbon soluble silicone/alpha
methylstyrene block copolymer. Silicones combined of chlorine containing hydrophobic coating
applied to glass as 2-10% solutions in hexane, methylene chloride or
hexane. Silicones containing hydrophobic octadecylsilyl derivative applied
to surfaces as 1% aqueous solutions. Thermally stable resins supplied in xylene and
applied by spraying or dipping. Thermally stable and applied in
isopropanol. All three find application as mechanical barriers for
circuit boards and in producing laminate structures. Silicone paint formulation which cures to
a flexible film. 100% solids polymeric precursors to silicon
dioxide used in producing dielectric layers, abrasion resistant
coatings, protective films and translucent films. Silicones containing high purity silicone pressure sensitive
adhesive which form strong temporary bonds to glass, insulation
components, metals and polymers. Silicones with moisture curable filler free silicone rubber
supplied as 50% solids in tetrahydrofuran. It exhibits high bond
strength to a wide range of substrates including other
silicones,silica,metals and fibers. In biomedical equipment Silicone
coatings reduce physiological interaction
including protein adsorption and clot initiation. In optical devices coatings provide clear mechanical
barriers that seals gaskets without scratching or initiating notch
failure. Silicones with ultraviolet light curable silicone with
refractive index matched to silica for use in optical coupling
applications. Two part RTV silicone curing to a flexible
transparent elastomer suitable for electronic potting and
