BUTYL

The inherent tack, aging resistance and low permeability of butyl-type polymers account for their use in various adhesive applications. A number of partially cross-linked butyl rubbers are commercially available. Many of these are specifically produced for the adhesives and sealants markets. The wide selection of completely compatible materials in the family of isobutylene polymers permits the knowledgeable compounder to achieve a wide range of properties.
