Highlighting Top Quality Caulk and Cartridge Guns from Newborn

Newborn logoIf your team regularly uses adhesives, silicones, urethanes, and similar products, you know that they won’t get very far if they’re stuck using substandard cartridge and caulking guns. Chemical Concepts proudly carries cartridge guns from Newborn Caulk Guns. With more than four decades of experience in the industry, Newborn’s innovation with caulk and cartridge guns keeps their products as consistent top quality choices.

How to Choose the Right Cartridge Gun for Your Project

The most important thing to consider when choosing the right type of cartridge gun for a project is the thickness of your material. The thicker it is, the more power and higher thrust ratio you will need.

Latex and silicone are generally thinner materials and a drip-free gun or ratchet rod gun will work well with most of these products. A drip-free gun backs off the pressure after each trigger squeeze, stopping the flow of the material. A ratchet rod gun is very precise and has a slight drip-free function.

Adhesives and urethanes are generally thicker materials that usually require the selection of a constant pressure gun…or guns with a thumb release. These guns keep pressure on the material and allow for an easier flow….meaning less effort will need to be expended by the operator.

Newborn Caulk Guns has put together this simplified selection table to assist with choosing the right gun for the material you’ll be using and the right type of project.
