One of the best product offerings from Chemical Concepts is an innovative methacrylate adhesive solution called the C40 Inlaymaster. This two-part adhesive is used in the creation of inlays, or the embedding of two different materials or surfaces. The C40 was created as a great addition to the Chem-Set product line, which has been developed and maintained by Chemical Concepts.

The Inlaymaster is a “flowable” methacrylate, designed specifically to aid with the creation of inlays in solid surfaces like acrylic, polyester, and other blends. Perhaps the most innovative characteristic, and something that sets it apart from most other methacrylates, is its air release agents which work to eliminate the bubbles and imperfections common to any inlay project. In addition, C40 is UV light stable and non-yellowing, making it perfect for projects subject to external illumination.  The C40 also maintains a low viscosity. As a result, it is self-leveling, making any application uniform.

In reference to the picture below, using the C40 for logo inlays is the most preferable application.   When presenting your brand’s logo, it is important to have a sleek, uniform, leveled-look and orientation, which is why the Inlaymaster is a great choice with projects of this nature.

Custom colors, other than clear, are also available to suit specific logos.

The Inlaymaster has a combined ratio of 1:10 (10 parts resin, 1 part activator) and can reach working time in just 10 -15 minutes, making it a rapidly curing adhesive. In just 25-30 minutes, 90% of ultimate strength can be achieved when at room temperature. C40 is available in more than 90 different colors.
