There are the abrasives that prepare the surface(s) for action, the high bond tapes and films that hold things in place and protect the stone, the silicones and sealants that seam and adhere, and the actual countertop brackets that support the “cause.”

Abrasives

At Chemical Concepts, we distribute the world’s leading abrasives products from Sia Abrasives. Countertop Brackets

The specialty of our partner company, CounterBalance, is indeed brackets and plates that support all types of countertops in kitchens, bathrooms, workshops, and offices. Supporting kitchen islands, peninsulas, vanities, and work stations is no easy task while offering a minimally invasive method for doing so at the same time. These brackets are not only strong and steady, but typically cannot even be seen by the observing eye, as opposed to bulky and annoying corbels or similar inconvenient supports. These products include, among others, the IslandBar, CrossBar, and ADA Vanity Bracket.

Silicones & Sealants

Seaming adhesives and silicone caulks are other elements that make up any countertop project. Perhaps our most popular option in this profile is Chem-Set’s C30 Marblemaster. This dripless, non-sag methacrylate offers a high strength bond for engineered stone, quartz, granite, sintered stone, and more. Further, the dripless formula allows applicators to adhere vertical and horizontal surfaces without the risk of dripping.

Another high strength sealant that we offer is the Chem-Set RTV4500, which can be used on marble surfaces to seal, glaze, and waterproof. The RTV4500 is VOC compliant, UV stable, and compliant with today’s green building standards.

Tapes/Films

Tapes/films are the final piece of our countertop puzzle, and one that you need not go anywhere else than Chemical Concepts for the best of the best. Our Countertop Protection Film guards against the hazards of construction and installation for you granite or marble countertop, and can be uprooted without leaving sticky residue in its wake. Tapes are also sometimes used to bond and hold countertop elements. An example of this is the ChemSet VST double sided acrylic foam tape, a one inch wide, 36 yard per roll product that sports high strength characteristics, which make it capable for countertop project applications.
