Lord 406/19In situations that require metal bonding and the cross bonding of metals to plastics or similar materials, the 400 Series from Lord is the ticket. This series is considered to be the most versatile of the group, and can practically replace welding, riveting, brazing and other mechanical means for fastening, and can and will often outperform them in tough environments. This class includes the following 400 Series products:

These three metal bonding adhesives are separate and distinct due to their speed, or their quickness in arriving at work and handling time; the 403 is the fastest, achieving work time in as soon as two minutes and handling time in as little as four minutes. The 410 is the slowest, and the 406 serves as the intermediate choice.

Typical Applications

  • Bare Metals – Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel
  • Painted Metals
  • Acrylic Sheets
  • Vinyl Laminates
  • Polycarbonate Sheets
  • Polystyrene Boards

…and more

The 7500 Series

The 7500 series is best suited for plastic bonding and the cross bonding of an assortment of plastics. Used frequently for optically clear applications, gap filling, and bonding wood, the 7500 series is tough, flexible, and like its 400 series counterpart, available in three different speeds.

The 7550 A/C, the preferred industry choice for bonding trimcap materials to polycarbonate faces, is the fastest, with a working time range of 2-4 minutes and a handline time of 4-6 minutes. The 7542 A/B is the medium choice and the 7542 A/D is the slowest of the bunch, requiring 1-2 hours before handling.

Typical Applications

  • Paper/Foam Boards
  • PETG Sheets
  • Acrylic Sheets
  • Wood
  • High Density Urethane Boards

…and more

No-Mix Series

The No-Mix series from Lord is the go-to for large surfaces with tight tolerances, like mounting a sign face. The products in this class have an indefinite speed time, meaning that curing does not start until both parts of the assembly are brought togetherthis is an especially ideal characteristic for large applications of metals and similar surfaces. No-mix series adhesives must be applied to opposite mating surfaces to be bonded. Lord’s No-Mix series includes the following products:
