Counter-Lok is a relatively new stone fabrication leveling tool developed by the experts at Chemical Concepts. Mastering the troublesome ‘bridge’ strips that can accompany sink or cooktop installation projects, the Counter-Lok secures, levels, and ensures an even and uniform seal. Using the Counter-Lok tool is a smart alternative to seaming bridge strips manually, eliminating all of the guesswork and potential for error associated with it. This product is perfect for stone fabricators looking for an efficient yet precise method for installing granite cook-top or sink strips.

When a sink or cooktop is installed at two seams in the countertop, ‘bridge’ sections in the granite or marble are common, which can present a cumbersome process with a potentially large margin for error. The Counter-Lok eases this process, greatly reducing the time that’s required to see it through and produces much better results than completing the process manually. Even more, the nylon adjustable screws included in our Counter-Lok kit, which work to adjust and level the piece, won’t mar your stone surface like a conventional metal screw.

Seven easy steps

1. 1.     Set-up counter-lok tool on both seams
2. 2.     Apply silicone sealant to the top of the cabinet where the bridge section will be installed
3. 3.     Prepare the bridge piece of installation using your preferred seaming adhesive
4. 4.     Insert bridge piece and level with existing countering using supplied nylon thumbscrews to adjust height and alignment
5. 5.     Remove excess adhesive and prepare seam
6. 6.     Let adhesive set
7. 7.     Remove Counter-Lok and finish seam

Counter-Lok includes two Counter-Lok tools for your convenience, and 16 nylon adjustable thumbscrews.
