Staying the course with Chem-Set’s innovation in the area of stone fabrication resources, yet another unique product is now available, this time for tough-to-seam zones like mitred joints and laminated edges. The C-30 Marblemaster, which will be featured at the upcoming Global Tile and Stone Conference in Chicago, was specifically crafted to achieve superior results on marble surfaces, including many hard to match types of marble like Thassos, Calcutta, and Crema Marfil. Because of its virtually invisible bond, blending with the rarer types of marble becomes a cinch, plus there are a range of colors available to match any type of popular marble, even some of the trickier shades of white. The Product:

C-30 is a two-part methacrylate with non-sag, low shrink, and ultra violet stable characteristics. It’s non-yellowing and flexible make-up prove perfect for the seamless bonding of porcelain, sintered stone, glass, engineered stone, quartz, and of course, marble. In function, the C-30 Marblemaster is ideal for fabricating countertops, bathroom vanities, and an assortment of other marble and related surfaces. Its working time is 10-15 minutes and it reaches 90% strength in just 45 minutes to an hour at room temperature.

The C-30 is packaged in convenient cartridges that are compatible with common, industry-standard equipment, making it easy to apply and consistent with proper results. Perhaps the greatest advantage with the C-30 is its capacity to blend to the color of the surface it’s seaming; with four specially blended colors that cure to opaque or translucent, (depending on the color) a perfect color match for any marble surface is all but guaranteed. The C-30 is even suitable for tough to match whites, which can most times prove to be impossible to match with traditional products and techniques.

For the experienced fabricator:

The C-30 allows for vertical application as well as horizontal, without the hassle of dripping. Upon gelation, an extended window of time (5-10 minutes) is available to re-dope, or trim excess gel from the surface with a blade. This can be done within this pocket of time without damaging the adhesive or the stone, making the process extremely convenient, especially for seasoned applicators.

The C-30 comes in a 250 ml 10:1 cylinder and goes with Chem-Set’s compatible Seaming Adhesive Tips and a Variable Ratio Adhesive Dispensing Gun.
