What is a Two Part Adhesive? – Generally speaking, two-part adhesives are glues, or adhesive bonding agents, that function when the two parts, comprised of a resin and an accelerator, are mixed together. These two components, upon mixing, create an exceptionally strong bond. A chemical reaction through polymerization occurs between the two, called ‘curing’, where the compound hardens and adhesion takes place between the two substrates being joined. For the H2O Glue, a moldable bond is created just 30-45 minutes after combining the two agents.

The Benefits of Two-Part Adhesives:

  • Ability to bond different materials to each other
  • Fast curing time
  • Equal distribution of stress not possible with screws
  • Non-electrically conductive
  • Light and easy to apply
  • Can withstand extreme temperatures and difficult environments (like water)
  • Inexpensive compared to alternative fastening products
  • Acts as a sealant and moisture barrier
