The Benefits

Perhaps the biggest benefit with Chem-Set’s stone repair kit is the speed with which you can make the repair, to the tune of about three minutes. Expecting a more painstaking process with such a permanent effect wouldn’t be out of the question, but with this product three minutes is all you need to make a lasting and visually pleasing fix. In addition, discoloration or blooming, which is a common challenge especially with light colored stone or marble, is easily avoided thanks to UV light curing technology.

This non-yellowing, UV stable formula is scratch and fracture proof, and a perfect product for do-it-yourself installers, fabricators, and maintenance people. The fact that you’ll save money with a repair as opposed to replacing the stone is also an obvious plus for homeowners and contractors.

The Process

Step 1 – Open the adhesive bottle and dispense the adhesive generously, making sure the blemish is totally filled.

Step 2 – Using the in-package curing sheet, cover the repair area and gently work out any air pockets.

Step 3 – Turn on the in-package curing light and hold within ¼” to a ½” from the repair, being certain to apply a high concentration of light to the entire surface. This process should take less than three minutes.

Step 4 – Remove the curing sheet and with a straight edge razor (included) plane any excess adhesive away from the repair. This is done best by holding the blade vertically and moving it back and forth until the excess adhesive has been removed.

Step 5 – Use the enclosed polish solution and apply throughout the area with a cloth or paper towel. Buff the surface area making sure the polish doesn’t dry. Wipe the surface clean when done.
