Silicone & Caulk

Silicone & Caulk

High-Performance Silicone & Caulk Sealants

Durable, flexible, and waterproof sealing solutions engineered for demanding environments in construction, manufacturing, transportation, marine, aerospace, and countertop fabrication.

Whether you need a crystal-clear RTV silicone for visible joints, a paintable acrylic latex for finish work, or a hybrid polymer that bonds and seals in one step—Chemical Concepts provides trusted options from the industry’s leading brands.

Silicone, caulk, and hybrid sealants

Quick Guide: Which Sealant Do You Need?

MS Hybrid (Polymer)

Strong adhesion, very low shrink, excellent weathering, and zero isocyanates. Paintable, low odor, and ideal for bonding and sealing in one step.

Polyurethane

High strength and good heat resistance. Releases isocyanates and can foam during cure. Best where maximum bond strength is the priority.

Silicone & Caulk

Includes 100% RTV and siliconized acrylic latex. Excellent flexibility and waterproofing. RTV is not paintable; Acrylic is paintable.

Property MS Hybrid Polyurethane Silicone & Caulk
Adhesion Strong on many substrates Very strong (porous) Weakest for structure
Flexibility High movement / Tough Moderate to High Excellent flexibility
Shrinkage Very Low Can shrink during cure Very Low
Weathering & UV Excellent durability Good; can amber Excellent (esp. RTV)
Chemical & Water Excellent overall balance Good chemical/heat resistance Excellent water/UV resistance
Cure By-Products Low odor, Siloxane-free Releases isocyanates Acetic, neutral, or water-based
Paintability Paintable Usually paintable RTV: No / Acrylic: Yes
Best Use Bonding & Sealing Heavy Construction Waterproof Sealing

Choose MS Hybrid for:

  • Strong, non-yellowing bonds
  • Long-term exterior jobs
  • Bonding & Sealing in one step

Typical: Panels, Vehicles, Roofing.

Choose Polyurethane for:

  • Max structural strength
  • Concrete & Masonry
  • Classic construction adhesive

Note: May shrink or foam.

Choose Silicone for:

  • Most flexible seal
  • Waterproofing & Glazing
  • Joints that stay wet

Note: 100% RTV is not paintable.
