Description
Ease-Release 200 mold release is a general-purpose aerosol release agent supplied in a 12 oz can. It frees cast parts from molds across polyurethane, silicone, epoxy, polyester, and rubber chemistries without leaving the heavy buildup that hand-applied paste waxes can. The film goes on in a light, even mist and dries fast, so production cycles stay moving.
Where Ease-Release 200 mold release works
The 12 oz aerosol releases polyurethane elastomers, epoxy resin, polyester resin, RTV silicones, rubber, and thermoplastic polymers. It performs on aluminum, chrome, RTV silicone, epoxy, rubber, and steel molds. Effective temperature range runs from 70 F to 500 F, which covers most room-temperature casting work and the higher-temperature ovens used in production tooling shops.
How to apply Ease-Release 200 mold release
Hold the can or spray gun six to eight inches from the mold face and lay down a light, even coating. The release agent is fast drying and does not need baking during a normal molding cycle. Reapply between pulls when the surface starts to grab. For deep features or complex undercuts, two thin coats give a more reliable release than one heavy coat.
Storage and safe handling
Keep the can below 120 F. It is a pressurized aerosol and flammable, so store and use away from heat, sparks, flames, and open flame. Use in a ventilated area and protect against contact with eyes and skin. Wear nitrile gloves when applying.
