Description
Permabond® 922 is a high-temperature-resistant, moderate-viscosity cyanoacrylate adhesive designed for fast, strong bonding of metals, plastics, and rubbers. Unlike standard cyanoacrylates, Permabond 922 withstands temperatures up to 250°C (482°F) when post-cured, making it ideal for applications exposed to extreme heat such as aerospace, electronics, and industrial manufacturing.
This single-component adhesive cures rapidly at room temperature upon contact with surface moisture. It meets MIL-SPEC MIL-A-46050C Type V, Class 3 (existing designs), ensuring compliance for military, aerospace, and industrial applications.
For customers looking for alternatives to Loctite® 4203, 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ PR600, or Permatex® High-Temperature Super Glue, Permabond 922 provides a premium, heat-resistant bonding solution.

High-Temperature Post-Cure Process
To activate maximum heat resistance, follow this post-curing process:
- Bond and clamp parts at room temperature for at least 4 hours.
- Heat parts to 150°C (302°F) for 2 hours while keeping them clamped.
- The adhesive will now be thermally resistant up to 250°C (482°F).
Applications
- High-temperature industrial and aerospace applications
- Electronics and electrical component bonding
- Automotive manufacturing and under-hood applications
- Medical device and high-heat-resistant bonding
- Precision manufacturing in harsh environments
Directions for Use
- Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and grease-free. Use acetone or isopropanol for best results.
- Apply Permabond 922 sparingly to one surface only.
- Quickly align and press components together. Apply even pressure to ensure a thin, even adhesive film.
- Hold in place for 15-20 seconds until initial bond forms.
- Allow 24 hours for full strength development.
- For high-temperature applications, follow the post-curing process outlined above.
- For difficult or porous surfaces, use Permabond CSA or QFS 16 Activator.
🔹 Note: For bonding polypropylene, polyethylene, PTFE, or silicone, use Permabond Polyolefin Primer (POP) before applying adhesive.
