Description
This urethane adhesive curative is Lord 7150-B, the polyol side of the two-component Lord 7150-A/B system. Supplied in a 1 gallon container, it is mixed with 7150-A resin at a 1:2 ratio by volume to bond rubber, plastics, cloth, metals, paper, and foams.
Where This Urethane Adhesive Is Used
Lord 7150 is a room temperature curing system built for assembly work where priming plastic substrates would add a step and slow the line. The 7150-A resin side is composed of isocyanate, and this 7150-B curative is composed of polyol, so both containers of the kit need to be kept matched and mixed at the correct ratio for the cure to develop properly. Manufacturers use the system on interior trim, foam-to-metal laminations, and composite panel bonding where a durable, flexible bond line has to survive repeated flexing without cracking, and on rubber-to-metal assemblies where a rigid adhesive would eventually fatigue and let go under vibration.
How This Urethane Adhesive Holds Up
At 77 degrees F, the system data lists a 5 to 10 minute working time and 2 to 3 hours to handling strength. It can be room-temperature cured or heat cured for faster processing; fixture and release times should be confirmed for the actual bond geometry. Cured Lord 7150 is non-flammable and resists weathering, aging, and solvent exposure over the life of the assembly. Because it bonds many plastics without a separate primer step, it also reduces material and labor cost on production runs that would otherwise need a surface treatment before the adhesive goes down, without lowering the strength of the plastic substrate itself. That combination of gray color, flexibility, and primerless adhesion to common plastics is why the 7150 system remains a standard specification across foam, trim, and composite bonding lines that run this pairing daily.

Order this curative alongside the matching 7150-A resin container so the kit stays in the correct ratio through the full pail or gallon, and store both containers under the same temperature and humidity conditions so neither component drifts out of spec before use. Related two-component and single-part urethane systems are grouped in the urethane adhesives category. For manufacturer background on Lord’s full adhesive line, see Parker LORD.
