Description
This stone seam color pigment ships in a 2 oz dosing pump bottle under the Arctic 101 formula, one of 32 premixed colors in the Chem-Set Stone Seam system for matching seam adhesive to natural and engineered stone.
Stone Seam Color Pigment Applications
Countertop fabricators use this Arctic 101 pigment to color-match Chem-Set Stone Seam knife-grade and flowing adhesive to Arctic-toned quartz, granite, and porcelain slabs before running a seam. Because the Stone Seam system covers natural stone, engineered quartz, and porcelain in one color-matching platform, a shop can standardize on the same resin and pigment line across mixed-material jobs instead of stocking separate seam adhesives per material type. The dosing pump format keeps pigment addition consistent from seam to seam, which matters on jobs where several technicians work the same color across multiple slabs.
Stone Seam Color Pigment Application
Fabricators identify the slab and confirm the Arctic 101 match using the Stone Seam app before mixing, then choose a clear or chameleon base resin depending on whether the seam needs transparency or full color coverage. The pigment doses into the resin by pump count rather than by weight or volume estimation, so the ratio stays repeatable across mixes and shifts. Hardener is added afterward at roughly 1 to 3 percent for a normal cure, or up to 15 percent when a faster set is needed, and the mixed resin is checked against the app’s color reference before it goes into the seam. Working time on a mixed batch runs about 4 to 7 minutes with fixture in 12 to 15 minutes, so pigmenting, confirming color, and applying happen in one continuous sequence.
