Description
Insulcast RTVS 8127 is a two-part, thermally conductive RTV silicone potting compound for protecting heat-generating electronics from moisture, vibration, and thermal stress. It pours or pumps around an assembly and cures to a tough, flame-retardant mass that carries heat away from hot-running components and keeps the finished part working in the field.
Insulcast RTVS 8127 Benefits
- Thermal conductivity of 0.75 W/mK moves heat away from power supplies, coils, and other hot-running parts
- UL 94 V0 flame retardant for fire-safety requirements
- Dielectric strength of 500 V/mm for reliable electrical isolation
- Seals out moisture, dust, and contaminants
- Cushions components against shock and vibration
- Wide service range of -55 to 204 C
Common Applications
- Potting power supplies, transformers, and coils
- Sealing sensors, connectors, and control modules
- Protecting LED and lighting electronics
- Encapsulating medical device electronics
- EV and e-mobility power electronics
