Description
SprayCore Alpha Fill is a two-part, polyester-based sprayable filler built for composite tooling, mold building, and fiberglass repair. It sprays on heavy and sands fast, so shops build surface and shape across large molds without hand-troweling body filler.
Where SprayCore Alpha Fill is used
Boat builders, mold makers, and transportation fabricators reach for this filler to fair a plug, repair a damaged mold, or build a sprayable core layer. It adheres to metal, galvanized metal, aluminum, fiberglass, and wood, so one product covers most tooling substrates. The high-build matrix lays down roughly 15 to 30 mils per coat, which cuts the number of passes needed to reach final thickness.
How SprayCore Alpha Fill holds up
The catalyzed polyester system has a working pot life of 3 to 6 minutes and dries to a sandable surface in 60 to 90 minutes at room temperature. Heat shortens that window when production schedules are tight. Once cured, the filler sands to a smooth, feather-edged surface that takes primer and gel coat cleanly. Crews can recoat after sanding to add thickness where a mold needs more material, and the sanded surface stays dimensionally stable through the layup that follows. That repeatable build is what makes the product a fit for large marine and transportation tooling.
