Ultra-Fast Curing Adhesive for Extreme Cold, Moisture, and Harsh Conditions

Araldite® 2050 Low-Temperature Acrylic Adhesive is a rapid-curing, two-component structural adhesive engineered for bonding metals, plastics, and composites even under the most extreme environmental conditions. This adhesive excels when applied in cold temperatures down to -20°C (-4°F), underwater (including saltwater), or in highly humid areas.

Formulated for fast repairs and assembly operations, Araldite® 2050 dramatically reduces downtime and increases reliability for projects in harsh outdoor or marine environments. It offers high bond strength with minimal surface preparation, making it ideal for field repairs, marine fabrication, transportation, and industrial construction.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Ultra-Fast Curing: Achieves fixture strength in as little as 9 minutes at 23°C (73°F).

  • Low-Temperature Bonding: Cures effectively from -20°C to 25°C (-4°F to 77°F) without external heating.

  • Moisture and Underwater Application: Bonds reliably under fresh or saltwater and humid conditions.

  • Wide Substrate Compatibility: Bonds thermoplastics, composites, metals including aluminum, stainless steel, PVC, CFRP, and more.

  • Minimal Surface Preparation: Strong bonding with only basic degreasing; no heavy sanding or priming required.

  • Superior Environmental Resistance: Outstanding weathering, aging, and chemical resistance.

  • High-Temperature Service: Suitable for service up to 120°C (248°F) once cured.

Typical Applications

  • Emergency repairs in cold climates, rain, or marine environments

  • Assembly of outdoor structures exposed to wide temperature swings

  • Bonding marine vessels, offshore equipment, and underwater components

  • Transportation, rail, aerospace, and automotive composite bonding

  • Industrial maintenance and heavy equipment repair
