Bostik Marine 940 FS Hybrid Adhesive Sealant

Description

Bostik 940 FS is a fast set hybrid polymer marine adhesive and sealant for elastic bonding above and below the waterline. It is based on silyl modified polymer chemistry and is intended for deck hardware, through-hull fittings, rub rails, portholes, and other marine joints that need weather exposure resistance with a flexible cured bead.

• Chemistry: one-component silyl modified polymer adhesive sealant.
• Work life or open time: 15 minutes.
• Skin time: 10 minutes.
• Cure time at 77 F and 50 percent relative humidity for 0.125 inch: about 1 day.
• Application temperature range: 40 F to 95 F.
• Service temperature range: -40 F to 212 F.

Start with clean, dry, grease-free surfaces. For high-stress wet assemblies, consult the product data sheet and confirm whether MSR Primer M is needed. Tool the bead promptly because the skin time is short.
