Description
The Bostik 1100 FS is a one part polyurethane sealant and adhesive that cures with atmospheric moisture into a tough, flexible bond. It sets faster than conventional polyurethanes, so crews move from bead to handling sooner instead of waiting out a long skin time. The gray formula gives tenacious adhesion to wood, metal, fiberglass reinforced plastic, and most rigid plastics, and it holds that bond through water exposure and repeated weather cycling.
Where Bostik 1100 FS fits
Transportation, RV, marine, and general construction shops reach for this sealant adhesive where a joint has to flex and stay watertight. It bonds dissimilar substrates like aluminum panels to FRP, beds windows and trim, and seals seams that take constant vibration and movement. The non-sag body lets it hold a vertical or overhead bead without slumping before it cures, which keeps tooled joints clean.
How Bostik 1100 FS holds up
Once cured the adhesive stays elastomeric and absorbs joint movement instead of cracking. It meets Federal specification TT-S-00230C Class A for one component sealants and ASTM C920 Type S, Grade NS, Class 25, for Use NT, A, and M. Strong resistance to water and weathering keeps the seal intact in exterior, marine, and wet service where lesser sealants chalk or pull away from the substrate.
