Description
Bostik BladeCote is a dry-film aerosol lubricant for saw blades, router and drill bits, and shop knives. It sprays on wet, dries fast to a non-tacky film, and reduces the friction and heat that dull edges and bake pitch onto tooling.
What Bostik BladeCote does
- Reduces friction and heat buildup while blades and bits run
- Blocks pitch, gum, and resin from sticking to tooling
- Extends blade and bit life and stretches the time between resharpenings
- Dries to a film that will not gum up after repeated coats
Where Bostik BladeCote fits
- Table saws, miter saws, and circular saw blades
- Router bits, drill bits, jointers, and planer knives
- Bindery knives, paper cutters, and shears
- Silicone-free and petroleum-free, so it will not stain wood or interfere with glues and finishes

Lay down a light, even pass and let it flash before running stock. A thin film is all it takes, and a quick reapply as the blade heats keeps cuts clean on resinous woods like pine and on coated panels that load up fast. Because it carries no silicone or petroleum oil, parts coming off the saw still take glue, stain, and finish without fish-eye or adhesion trouble. The dry film also helps moving parts like chains, pulleys, and gears shed dust instead of collecting it, and a quick wipe clears any overspray from tables and fences.
Keep a can at every saw station so blades get a fresh coat before pitch builds up. Browse our lubricants for related shop and tool sprays, and see the product line at Bostik.
