Using 3 Inch V-Groove Tape
Apply the tape to a clean, dry panel before the folding operation. Center it over the groove line and press the backing firmly from one end to the other. Consistent pressure helps the adhesive wet the surface and reduces loose edges that can catch during handling. After routing, the taped face acts as a hinge while the panel is folded and bonded into the required angle.
The polyester film also works as temporary protection on polished metal and plastic when the surface is compatible with the adhesive. Test a small area first when appearance, coating sensitivity, or residue is a concern. Remove dust, chips, oil, and shop contamination before application because debris can interrupt contact and create an uneven fold line.
