Description
The Specialinsert Deform-Nut Ti-TC is a titanium rivet nut built for one-side installation into panels up to roughly 7.0mm thick. This longer M6 version extends the collar depth so the threaded insert seats fully in thicker sheet stock, giving fabricators the same blind-side install the standard Deform-Nut line is known for, without switching to a steel insert once panel thickness climbs beyond a thin sheet. The knurled body deforms mechanically during installation, expanding behind the panel to lock the insert in place without welding, brazing, or access to the reverse side.
Where the titanium rivet nut is used
This titanium rivet nut fits sign fabrication, transportation equipment, electrical enclosures, and any metal or composite assembly where access from the back side of the panel is not possible. The knurled shank resists spin-out once the insert deforms into place, which matters on tight-tolerance enclosures where a loose insert can work its way free under repeated fastener cycling. Aerospace and marine builders reach for the titanium version specifically where a steel insert would add unwanted weight or fail early to salt-air corrosion.

Titanium construction cuts roughly 40 percent of the weight a steel insert of the same size would carry, while holding equal hardness and far better long-term corrosion resistance. That combination is why the Ti-TC line shows up on transportation and marine assemblies where a corroded steel insert would eventually seize or streak the surrounding panel finish over time. Setting the insert takes a compatible rivet nut tool sized to the M6 thread, and the installer should confirm panel thickness falls inside the stated grip range before pulling the mandrel, since an insert set outside its rated range can under-clamp or crack the collar.
