Regulated shop air, typically 1 to 20 psi, pushes fluid from the syringe barrel into the feed path rather than powering the dispensing stroke, which is the motor’s job. The body’s fluid inlet is a female Luer lock and the outlet is a male Luer lock, both fixed to the housing so tubing and dispense tips connect the same way every time a feed path gets swapped.

Loosening the thumb screw swings the door open for feed path changeovers. The disposable feed screw and chamber, the wearing parts inside the housing, rotate about 30 degrees toward the hinge and lift free for disposal, then a fresh insert drops back in and the door closes over it. None of that changes the fluid path routing or the mounting footprint, only which side the operator reaches to service the valve.
