Description
The Techcon TS5520 is a fine mist spray dispensing valve for laying an even, atomized coat of low viscosity fluid. It is a normally closed needle and seat valve. Trigger air retracts the needle from the seat so fluid flows to the nozzle, while a separate atomizing air stream breaks the stream into a fine mist. An external stroke control tunes the fluid flow, and the valve runs past 400 cycles per minute.
Where the dispensing valve is used
Even, thin coverage drives its use. Electronics and LED lines spray conformal coating, flux, and thin adhesive across boards. General manufacturing and metal fabrication shops apply release agents, primers, lubricants, and thin sealers over a surface rather than in a bead. Aerospace and transportation work uses it where a controlled mist beats a brush or a heavy bead for coverage and appearance.
How the dispensing valve holds up
Maintenance stays simple because the design drops the troublesome spring loaded needle packings, leaving one seal to replace during normal service, so downtime is almost eliminated. Prespray, atomizing air, and post spray each adjust for consistent coverage with no overspray and positive shut off. Pairing the valve with the TS566R controller sets the full spray cycle so results repeat across operators. For controllers, tips, and cartridges, browse our dispensers, mixers and nozzles category.
