Surface Prep and Use
Bond surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of loose oxide, paint, oils, and mold release. Solvent wipe, abrasive blast, or sand to expose fresh substrate. For high-strength structural joints, follow the Loctite Surface Preparation Guide for the specific substrate.
Load the 50ml cartridge into a 2:1 dispensing gun, expel a small bead to verify both sides flow evenly, then attach the mixing nozzle and apply within the 120-minute work window. Mate parts and apply contact pressure or fixture. Handling strength is reached in 180 minutes at 25°C, full cure in 24 hours. Larger bond areas or warmer environments will shorten work time. Excess uncured adhesive cleans up with ketone solvents.
