Description
LORD® 320/322 is a versatile two-component epoxy adhesive system designed for demanding industrial and automotive bonding applications. This 50ml cartridge format offers convenient, controlled dispensing, ideal for precision assembly tasks. Formulated for primerless adhesion to sheet molded compounds (SMC), LORD 320/322 also bonds exceptionally well to prepared metals, rubber, fiberglass reinforced plastics (FRP), polyester thermosets, thermoplastics, and many other substrates. The system can be cured at room temperature or accelerated with heat for faster throughput.
Key Features & Benefits
-
Outstanding Durability: Delivers load-bearing strength equal to or exceeding bonded materials; provides impact resistance down to -40°F (-40°C).
-
Primerless Adhesion: Bonds SMC and various metals without primer, reducing prep time and complexity.
-
Excellent Environmental Resistance: Withstands humidity, salt spray, UV exposure, and wide temperature fluctuations.
-
High-Temperature Stability: Tolerates postbakes up to 400°F (204°C) without losing integrity.
-
Superior Chemical Resistance: Resists most solvents and common anti-corrosion treatments; maintains bond strength even after phosphatizing and e-coat processes.
-
Non-flammable & Virtually Odorless: Safer and more comfortable to use in enclosed manufacturing spaces.
Common Applications
-
Automotive panel bonding (SMC, metal, composite panels)
-
Assembly of fiberglass and composite structures
-
Bonding rubber components to metal frames
-
Industrial equipment assembly and repairs
