LORD Accelerator 20GB is the curative component for LORD’s 800 series acrylic structural adhesive. Mixed into the resin, it starts the cure and, through embedded glass micro-beads, holds the bondline at a fixed thickness across the entire joint instead of relying on shims or gauge blocks.
The 800 series is built for bonding a wide range of prepared and unprepared metals and plastics where a low-read-through bond line matters, sign faces, cladding panels, and vehicle body panels being common examples. Because the finished bond often shows through a painted or laminated face, controlling bondline thickness with glass beads rather than trusting the applicator’s eye is what keeps the surface flat and consistent.
