Description
The Techcon 16 gauge metal dispensing needle is a 1/2 inch precision tip for controlled placement of adhesives, sealants, coatings, lubricants, and primers. The stainless steel cannula and nickel-plated brass hub give the tip a rigid fluid path that works well on manual stations, pneumatic dispensing setups, and automated equipment where tip deflection would change bead location.
Where this dispensing needle fits
The 16 gauge size is a useful step down from 15 gauge when a process needs a slightly narrower bead or a little more placement control. It still provides more flow than fine detail tips, so it can support many low to medium viscosity fluids without forcing high pressure changes. The short 1/2 inch length keeps the outlet stable close to the part and reduces wobble when the valve or syringe moves quickly.
How the metal tip holds up
The TS-SS metal tip family is designed for high precision and tolerance in automated applications, with a 100 psi maximum operating pressure listed by Techcon. Use this style when a crisp start, fixed standoff, or repeatable outlet matters more than flexibility. Replace the tip when the cannula bends, when a cured plug changes flow, or when abrasive fillers gradually enlarge the opening.
