Description
E-Z Fuse Tape is a black self-fusing silicone tape for field repair, sealing, insulating, and wrap work where a normal adhesive tape leaves residue or loses grip. This 1 inch by 36 foot roll is useful for marine, electrical, plumbing, automotive, and general maintenance kits because the tape bonds to itself instead of relying on a sticky adhesive layer.
E-Z Fuse Tape Benefits
- Self-fusing silicone construction leaves no adhesive residue on the part after removal.
- Waterproof and airtight wrap helps seal wet or dry leaks on non-oily surfaces.
- Non-conductive material can insulate electrical work up to 8,000 volts per unstretched layer.
- Flexible tape stretches around hose, cable, rope, tubing, and irregular repair shapes.
- UV, salt water, and weather resistance make it useful for indoor and outdoor service kits.
The tape begins fusing as it is wrapped and forms a cohesive bond over time. For pressure applications, use firm stretch and multiple half-lapped layers. For non-pressure bundling or weather protection, a lighter stretch and fewer layers may be enough. Do not use it on gas pipe or gas connections.
E-Z Fuse Tape Applications
- Emergency radiator hose and plumbing leak wraps.
- Weatherproofing electrical connections and bundling wires.
- Boat rigging, rope ends, marine repair kits, and outdoor maintenance carts.
- Grip support for tools, sporting goods, bicycle handles, and wheelchair handles.
- Temporary field sealing where residue from conventional tape would create cleanup work.
