Description
Permabond MM115 is a general-purpose, medium-strength anaerobic threadlocker designed to lock and seal metal threaded fasteners while still allowing controlled disassembly with standard hand tools. It prevents vibration loosening, maintains consistent clamp load, and provides long-term corrosion protection in demanding industrial environments.
MM115 cures reliably at room temperature on steel, cadmium, zinc, and other plated fasteners. Its thixotropic, non-drip formulation stays where applied, making it suitable for both vertical and overhead fastener assemblies. Major use areas include machinery and equipment manufacturing, general industrial assembly, and maintenance operations.
Permabond MM115 is widely specified as a direct alternative to medium-strength blue threadlockers such as Loctite 242 and 243, offering consistent performance with verified military and ASTM compliance.

Directions for Use
-
Ensure fasteners are clean, dry, and free of oil or grease.
-
For through holes, apply a bead across the contact length of the threads.
-
For blind holes, apply several drops to the bottom of the hole.
-
Assemble and torque to the required specification.
-
Allow approximately 10 minutes for handling strength and 24 hours for full cure.
To accelerate cure on passive metals, use Permabond A905 or ASC10 activator.
