Description
Sika Spartite 2000 Small Kit #1 is a pourable chocking compound for replacing mast wedges with a molded support ring at the partners. The two-part Spartite 2000 system fills the shaped cavity around the mast, cures into a fitted mast chock, and helps seal the deck-level opening while supporting the spar.
Where chocking compound is used
Marine riggers use Spartite 2000 when traditional wedges are worn, loose, noisy, or difficult to fit around an irregular mast collar. The kit is built for sailboat mast support rather than a structural bond line. It creates a custom-shaped bearing surface in place, so the mast can be supported around its actual section instead of relying on hand-trimmed wood or rubber wedges.
The small kit format is suited to smaller partner cavities and service jobs where pre-measured material keeps the repair controlled. The user builds a temporary mold, prepares the mast and partner area, pours the urethane chocking system into the cavity, and lets it form a one-piece chock. The cured ring can be removed later when the mast is unstepped, which makes future service cleaner than a permanently bonded fill.

Ordering chocking compound
Select this kit when the repair calls for a clean molded mast support, not a caulk bead or general-purpose sealant. The supporting terms for this product are Spartite 2000, urethane chocking system, and machinery chocking, but the buyer should size the kit from the actual cavity volume before release. For related marine bonding and sealant products, browse urethane products. Manufacturer marine information is available from Sika USA.
