Description
CVT-560 floor tape is a red Chem-Set vinyl marking tape supplied in a 4 inch by 60 yard roll for lanes, color coding, safety zones, and shop floor identification. The soft PVC backing and rubber resin adhesive give crews a conformable marking tape for sealed concrete, equipment areas, and general facility use.
CVT-560 Floor Tape Benefits
- Red 4 inch width creates visible boundaries for work cells, walk paths, and restricted areas.
- 5.2 mil soft PVC backing conforms to smooth shop floors and many equipment surfaces.
- Synthetic and natural rubber resin adhesive gives practical grab for lane and color marking.
- Matte write-on surface supports temporary notes, labels, and visual-control markings.
- Published data lists resistance to aging, sun, water, fungus, bacteria, oil, acids, alkalies, and corrosive chemicals.
This tape is a practical option for facilities that need fast visual control without painting a line. Surface condition, traffic, cleaning chemicals, and wheel load will affect service life.
CVT-560 Floor Tape Applications
- Marking production lanes, staging zones, and safety walkways.
- Color coding fixtures, carts, tables, and equipment areas.
- Temporary facility changes during layout, maintenance, or 5S projects.
- Decorating, striping, and pipe wrapping where red vinyl tape is specified.
- Masking for hard chrome plating or anodizing when the process owner has qualified the tape.
Surface Preparation And Use
Apply to clean, dry, sound surfaces after sweeping away dust and grit. For floors, remove oil, release agents, and loose coating before applying tape. Press the full tape width firmly, especially at edges and corners, so traffic does not start a lift point.
Test on painted, coated, or textured floors before a broad rollout. When cleaning around marked areas, avoid soaking the tape edge until the adhesive has had time to wet the surface.
Technical Details And Documentation
Published CVT-560 data lists matte soft PVC backing, synthetic and natural rubber resin adhesive, 5.2 mil total thickness, 18 oz/in adhesion to steel, 14 lb/in tensile strength, 150 percent elongation, and temperature resistance up to 140 degrees F.
