Description
Sta’-Put S150/S151 is a solvent-based, high-solids postforming contact adhesive built for shops that need aggressive grab and a fast production cycle. It bonds decorative laminate, steel, particle board, and rigid plastics, and it’s specifically formulated for postforming work, where the substrate is heat-formed around a curved edge after the laminate is bonded to it.
Why this postforming contact adhesive holds up on the line
S150/S151 delivers high green strength and aggressive grab tack straight off the spray gun, so parts stay put during assembly instead of shifting before the bond sets. It offers a long open tack window, which gives operators time to position large laminate sheets correctly before committing the bond, and a good spray pattern for even coverage across wide panels. Once cured, the bond line carries excellent heat resistance, which matters directly on postformed edges that see repeated contact heat during the forming step.
This is the same formulation long known in cabinet and countertop shops as Conbond 2466, a workhorse adhesive that’s been a top seller for decades on decorative laminate work. Cabinetry and woodworking shops, general manufacturing lines, countertop fabricators, construction crews, and sign and display builders all spec this postforming contact adhesive when they need a reliable, high-strength bond on rigid plastics, particle board substrates, and painted or bare steel.
Handling and coverage for this postforming contact adhesive
As a flammable spray grade product, S150/S151 requires proper ventilation, spray booth practices, and ignition-source control during application, standard for solvent-based contact adhesives at this solids level. Quick dry time keeps production moving between coats, and the postformable bond line stays flexible enough to wrap around curved edges without cracking the laminate or letting go at the radius.
