Description
TS8120 vacuum pen is a Techcon stand-alone pick-up system for handling small parts in bench assembly, electronics work, and dispensing stations. It can run from shop air or through compatible TS350 Series or TS500R dispensers and controllers.
TS8120 vacuum pen Benefits
- Adjustable vacuum control knob lets operators set pickup force for the part in front of them.
- Air-powered design fits benches that already have clean compressed air available.
- Included vacuum tips and cups help match the tool to different part sizes.
- 100 psi, 6.9 bar maximum operating pressure supports common shop air setups.
- Stand-alone kit format gives teams the control console, pen, tubing, connectors, and rubber feet needed for setup.
This tool is useful when tweezers, fingers, or improvised suction devices slow the work or risk marking a part. Keep the pickup accessories organized so operators can match the cup or tip to each component.
TS8120 vacuum pen Applications
- Pick and place handling for small electronic, plastic, or molded components.
- Assembly benches where parts must be lifted without squeezing them.
- Dispensing work cells using Techcon controllers and shop air.
- Prototype stations that need gentle part handling between process steps.
- Maintenance replacement for worn vacuum pickup tools and tubing.
Surface Preparation and Use
Use clean, dry air and confirm the pressure setting before connecting the unit. Select a cup or tip that seals on the part without covering critical surfaces. Start with low vacuum and increase only as needed for stable pickup.
Keep cups, tips, and tubing free of dust, oil, and adhesive residue. Replace worn cups that no longer seal. If parts drop, check the cup fit, air supply, tubing, and control setting before increasing pressure.
Technical Details and Documentation
Techcon lists the TS8120 as a stand-alone vacuum pick-up system with adjustable vacuum control, 15 and 23 gauge vacuum tips, five vacuum cup sizes, air tubing, two air connectors, and maximum operating pressure of 100 psi. Review current manufacturer information from Techcon before production use.
