Description
Structural adhesive for larger assemblies needs enough open time for bead placement, alignment, and clamping. UltraLok 350 is a two-part, 1:1 methacrylate adhesive supplied in a 1200 mL SmartPak with two mixing tips. It bonds metals, fiberglass, composites, and many plastics in fabrication and manufacturing. Where structural adhesive fits

Confirm each substrate and finish with a representative trial. Remove loose contamination, oil, dust, and moisture before bonding. Abrasion or primer requirements depend on the material, coating, service load, and process specification. UltraLok 350 is not UV stable and may yellow with exposure, so it is not intended for invisible cosmetic seams. The color change does not define bond performance, but appearance-sensitive joints should be shielded, painted, or assigned to a different product.
Processing structural adhesive
Load both SmartPak pouches into the compatible 1200 mL dispenser, connect the manifold, and attach the specified 1:1 static mixer. Balance the two components before fitting a fresh tip if the work instruction requires it. Dispense a short test bead and confirm a uniform mix before applying adhesive to production parts. Join the assembly within the working window and maintain the designed bond-line thickness while the fixture holds the parts. The UltraLok guide lists a 60 to 70 minute fixture interval for UL350 at room conditions.
Do not reuse a mixer after material has cured inside it. Keep pouch outlets and the manifold clean during changeover, and follow the current safety documentation for ventilation and personal protective equipment. SmartPak packaging reduces rigid plastic compared with conventional cartridges and holds about three standard 400 mL cartridge equivalents in one setup, which can reduce interruptions on longer production runs.
