CB crossbar installedAt Chemical Concepts, we know that summer is the best time to tackle home improvement projects. The weather is beautiful, the kids are home for the summer to help, and motivation to change and innovate is at an all-time high. With all that extra motivation, you might need some extra support – that’s where our CounterBalance support bracket line comes in!

CounterBalance in the Kitchen

No matter what project you’re tackling, if it involves building shelves or an overhanging island, trust CounterBalance to give you the ultimate support with the easiest installation. Building a pantry? Our wall-mounted concealed brackets are virtually invisible and can hold up to 7,960 lbs. per pair. Installing kitchen cabinets or an overhanging island? Our cabinetry and island supports are strong and subtle, with no knee-bruising support rods to be found.

CounterBalance in the Walls

Many older homes are sectioned off into multiple smaller rooms, while today’s current trend is an almost entirely open floor plan. Some homeowners or house flippers compromise with half-walls, which allow clear sightlines without completely removing separation between rooms. This establishes the room’s purpose without feeling claustrophobic. These half-walls (or pony-walls) require extra reinforcement to make sure they’re strong and durable.

Our CounterBalance half-wall supports are hidden support plates that reinforce the wall without corbels or clunky visible supports. Space-saving countersunk screw holes for a completely flush installation creates a seamless transition from wall to countertop or wall topper that is capable of supporting overhangs up to 6” past the length of the support.

CounterBalance and ADA-Compliance

Most of our CounterBalance supports are ADA-compliant, meaning that they are ideal for making workplaces and homes wheelchair-accessible while still remaining stylish. Our goal is to make your guests wonder “how are their shelves floating like that? Can we do this in our own home?” The answer is YES!
