tesa® Adhesion Promoter 60150 Universal can be used to improve the adhesion of tesa's superior arylic core tape offering (tesa® ACXplus) on various substrates including zinc, steel, and PP/EPDM. The UV-traceability of this adhesion promoter allows easy quality control during the application process.

This adhesion promoter is recommended for various plastics, powder coated surfaces, zinc, steel, and PP-EPDM. This product can be used to significantly improve the bonding strength of tesa® ACXplus tapes (testing shows significantly higher peel adhesion values).

Additional Information:
The bonding surface (substrate) should be free of dust, grease, oil, moisture, and other contaminants before using adhesion promoter. Therefore, we strongly recommend cleaning the substrate with a lint-free cloth using appropriate solvents (e.g. ethanol or isopropanol alcohol).

Once the surface has been cleaned, you can go ahead and apply tesa® Adhesion Promoter 60150. We recommend applying our adhesion promoter with a lint-free cloth or brush. Alternatively, an applicator pen or felt applicator can be used. The entire surface should be coated thinly with adhesion promoter in order to reach the highest bonding performance. It is important to wait at least 30 seconds (and a maximum of 5 minutes) in order to give the solvents time to evaporate. Please make sure to keep the prepared surface free of contaminants prior to applying the tape.

Once the substrate has been properly pre-treated with tesa® Adhesion Promoter 60150, the bond should be established within 15 minutes. Please note that due to the multitude of available subtrate formulations in the marketplace, it is recommended to test tesa® Adhesion Promoter prior to usage.
