Description
Bostik 920 is a one-part, gun-grade marine urethane adhesive and sealant for boatbuilding, repair, transportation, and fabrication work. It moisture cures to a tough elastomeric seal and bonds to common marine substrates, including wood, metal, fiberglass reinforced plastic, and most plastics. The product is used above and below the waterline when crews need a flexible seal around hardware, hull joints, deck assemblies, windows, doors, and under-molding details.
Bostik 920 Benefits
- One-component urethane chemistry dispenses with a standard 10 oz caulk gun.
- Moisture-cure formula forms a resilient, permanent elastic seal.
- Good tear and abrasion resistance for moving joints and exposed hardware.
- Adheres to wood, metal, FRP, and many plastics used in marine assemblies.
- Longer working time allows alignment and repositioning before final cure.
- Suitable for adhesive or sealant use in many boat and transportation applications.
Bostik 920 Applications
- Sealing deck hardware, cleats, hatches, and fittings.
- Deck-to-hull assembly and hull seam sealing.
- Keel joints and under-molding sealant work.
- Bonding or bedding wood, metal, FRP, and selected plastic parts.
- Transportation and specialty vehicle joints exposed to vibration and weather.
For production use, test adhesion on actual parts, confirm cure rate under shop humidity, and verify that joint movement and bead size match the project drawing before release.
