FastenMaster Flex 180 pairs the speed of a hot melt glue stick with the elasticity of a construction adhesive. Each 1/2 by 10 inch stick is sized for standard hot melt glue guns and gives installers 180 seconds of open working time before the bond sets, with a full-strength bond reached in 8 minutes or less, which is enough working time to set a full row before the adhesive grabs.

The Flex formula is engineered to expand and contract with the substrate over time, so the bond line does not go brittle and crack the way a standard hot melt can under seasonal wood movement. It bonds to a wide range of porous materials and to some non-porous materials as well, at a working viscosity suited to 350 degree Fahrenheit glue guns. Because fixture time is fast but not instant, crews get a short repositioning window to square up a board before the joint locks in, which cuts down on wasted material from a bad first placement.
