Description
Chem-Set M1-T38x19 bonding fastener adds a male threaded mounting point without drilling through the panel. The M1 stud is fixed to a 38 x 19 mm rectangular baseplate, giving adhesive room to spread and flow through the plate holes for a mechanically keyed bond.
Where the M1-T38x19 Fastener Is Used
This family fits panels and assemblies where through-holes would damage a finished face, create a leak path, or add visible hardware. Applications include equipment skins, signs, transportation panels, composite structures, stone fabrication, cabinetry, marine interiors, and general industrial mounting. The rectangular footprint is useful when the available bonding area is longer than it is wide.
The product family includes common inch thread choices such as 10-24, 10-32, 1/4-20, and 3/8-16, with several post lengths available by configuration. Confirm the exact child SKU, thread, stud length, material, and finish before ordering. Availability varies across base material and plating combinations.
Installing the Chem-Set M1-T38x19 Bonding Fastener
Clean the panel and baseplate using the surface-preparation method required by the selected adhesive. Mix and dispense enough adhesive to wet the plate and fill its holes. Place the fastener over the bead, press it down until adhesive flows through the openings, and keep the stud aligned while the adhesive cures. Do not load the stud until the adhesive has reached the required handling or service strength.
