Description
The ASI 502 trans white 10.2 oz cartridge holds trans white 100% RTV acetoxy silicone from American Sealants, sized for a standard caulking gun. Trans White is one of ASI 502’s translucent colors. The bead lets some of the surface show through instead of covering the joint with a solid color, which suits sink, faucet, and countertop-to-backsplash work. It cures to a flexible silicone rubber, meets NSF Standard 51 for incidental food contact, and is UL Recognized. Made in the USA.
Part of the ASI 502 family. This is the trans white 10.2 oz cartridge. ASI 502 comes in 15 colors, 7 standard and 8 translucent. See every ASI 502 color, with the full color chart and application steps.

Choosing ASI 502 Trans White
- Translucent colors let some of the surface show through the bead. Try trans white on an offcut first if the look matters.
- Tool within about 10 minutes of application, before the skin forms. A tooling spatula keeps the bead consistent across a long run.
- The trans white cartridge is the same ASI 502 formula as every other color, with the same data sheet properties.
- Need a squeeze tube? ASI 502 2.8 oz tubes come in clear, white, and black.
- Running production volume? Pails and drums are available on request. Call us to set it up.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is ASI 502 trans white food safe?
ASI 502 meets NSF Standard 51 and FDA Regulation No. 21 CFR 177.2600, and ASI’s data sheet says it’s acceptable as a sealant on surfaces with incidental food contact. The trans white cartridge is the same ASI 502 formula.
Can you paint over ASI 502 trans white?
No. ASI 502 isn’t paintable. For joints that get painted, use a paintable sealant such as ASI 174 siliconized acrylic latex.
How long does ASI 502 trans white take to cure?
ASI 502 skins in about 10 minutes and cures in about 24 hours for a 1/8 in bead at 70°F and 50% RH. Strength keeps building for 7 days. Cold, dry air and confined joints slow the cure.
What’s the difference between trans white and white ASI 502?
Trans white is translucent, so some of the surface shows through the bead. White is opaque and reads as solid white. Both are the same ASI 502 formula with the same properties and approvals.
