Description
araldite 2013 is a two-component, room-temperature curing paste epoxy adhesive made for high-strength, tough bonds on prepared metals and many other common industrial materials. The thixotropic paste stays in place better than a thin liquid on vertical surfaces and helps control squeeze-out during assembly. This product is suited to metal bonding, ceramics, glass, rubber, rigid plastics, and mixed-material work where a durable epoxy bond is needed.
Where araldite 2013 is used
Use this adhesive for brackets, panels, housings, inserts, and repair parts that need strength with practical handling at room temperature. The paste consistency helps on gaps, edges, and non-horizontal bond lines. Assemblers working in general manufacturing, marine, transportation, sign, and metal fabrication applications can use the adhesive where mechanical fastening would add holes or concentrated stress to the part. Purchasing teams may see the same item referenced as Araldite 2013-1, Huntsman 2013-1, or araldite 2013 1 in source systems and replenishment lists.
How the adhesive performs
The cured adhesive forms a tough epoxy bond with good environmental and chemical resistance for service conditions typical of industrial assemblies. Surface preparation remains important. Remove oil, grease, release agents, dust, loose oxidation, and other contamination before applying the adhesive. Abrasion or approved chemical preparation can improve performance on difficult metals and rigid plastics. Keep the bondline controlled so the mixed material can cure evenly between the parts.
