Description
Chem-Set silicone resin SS41-91 Part B is the curing agent side of a two-part, gallon-scale silicone system built for flexible mold and pattern work. Supplied as a 7 pound gallon container, this Part B combines with the matching SS41-91 Part A base to cure into a durable, reusable silicone tooling material. Storing both components at a stable room temperature helps preserve pot life and consistent cure quality batch to batch.
Where Chem-Set Silicone SS41-91 Fits
Two-part silicone resin systems like this one are used to build flexible molds that release cleanly from detailed patterns and cast pieces. Typical applications include:
- Production molds for concrete, plaster, resin, and wax casting
- Pattern and prototype tooling in fabrication and model shops
- Reusable mold-making where a single tool needs to produce multiple pulls
- Rework of existing tooling that needs a new mold pulled from a modified master pattern

Mix Part A and Part B at the ratio specified on the current technical data sheet, and blend thoroughly before pouring to avoid uncured streaks in the finished mold. Work in a ventilated area, and pour over a properly prepared pattern with release agent applied where the pattern material calls for it. Cure time and final hardness depend on ambient temperature and the mixed ratio, so a small test batch is worth running before committing a full gallon to a production mold. Order Part A and Part B together to keep the system in ratio, and keep both components sealed between uses to protect shelf life. For technique videos on mixing and pouring two-part silicone systems, see the Chemical Concepts YouTube channel.
