Description
This black white floor tape is a 6 mil striped vinyl safety tape built for marking aisles, hazard zones, and exit paths on warehouse and shop floors. The SST-636 pattern alternates black and white stripes for high visibility under normal facility lighting, and the 3 inch width covers standard aisle-marking jobs without excess overlap.
Where Black White Floor Tape Is Used
Facilities marking pedestrian walkways, forklift lanes, staging areas, and equipment exclusion zones use striped floor tape to give a clear visual boundary that does not require paint or a repaint cycle. The striped pattern reads as a caution or boundary marker at a glance, which is why OSHA references striping and marking of hazardous areas and exits under paragraph 1910.144 of the Federal Register. Manufacturing floors, distribution centers, and maintenance shops apply this tape directly to concrete, epoxy-coated floors, and most sealed flooring without additional primer.
The soft PVC vinyl backing conforms to minor floor texture instead of bridging over seams, which helps the tape resist lifting at the edges under foot and light wheeled traffic. The synthetic rubber adhesive is self-extinguishing and will not corrode copper, brass, steel, or aluminum, so it is safe to run near metal transition strips, drain covers, or equipment bases.
