Have you heard about the changes to our popular C20 and C30 Marblemaster seaming adhesive product line?

As you may know, there has been some consolidation in the seaming adhesive market. The company that had been manufacturing these products for us was purchased by a large corporation. The new management is making changes to our assortment of colors and color names.

Please take a moment to view our new color charts and cross reference chart that compares the new colors to our legacy colors.

We still have inventory of the old colors but they are no longer being produced. As we run out of the old colors we will be gradually replacing them with the new color names. During this transition, please let us know what material you are trying to match when you place your orders (e.g. Corian Sandstone). That way we can give you the best match we have in inventory as we will have some inventory of both old and new colors for a period of time.

New Cartridges for New Colors

You should also be aware that the new colors (with color # beginning with ‘C’, e.g. C601) will be packaged in a slightly modified 250ml cartridges. This cartridge will work in the same dispense guns, but will use different mixing tips.

The part numbers for the new mixing tips are CCH-TIPSC20X for C20 and CCH-TIPSC30X for C30. The tips will be the same cost and are discounted when purchased with our adhesive.The C20 and C30 will also be available in a special 100ml cartridge that fits in a standard caulking gun. This 100ml cartridge will be available in a limited color selection only.

What Won’t Be Changing

While a few details regarding the Marblemaster products are changing, here’s what won’t change: the quality and durability of these products that our customers have come to love.

C20 adhesives offer a combination of high strength, stiffness, and toughness as well as the ability to bond very strongly to a wide variety of solid surface materials. C20 adhesives provide high strength bonds to acrylic solid surface, polyester solid surface (both filled and unfilled), and alloy solid surface (combinations of both acrylic and polyester solid surface resins). C20 adhesive gives the fastest initial strength (green strength) and quickest routable time from dispensing of any of the contemporary adhesives in the market place.

C-30 offers a combination of high strength, stiffness, and toughness as well as the ability to bond very strongly to a wide variety of hard surface or inorganic materials. When combined with the proper use of ChemSet’s ProBond surface cleaner/activator, C-30 provides high strength bonds to virtually any stone, engineered stone or quartz or granite products, including porcelain, sintered stone, and glass.

C-30 permits the seasoned fabricator the opportunity to apply the adhesive to vertical surfaces, as well as horizontal surfaces, without dripping, and upon gelation, give the fabricator an extended window (5 to 10 minutes) to de-rope, or trim with a single bladed straight edge razor blade, the excess from the stone slab without ripping the adhesive out of the joint, nor damaging the surface of the stone.
