Techcon 700 Series barrels are silicone and chloride free, made from low-friction polypropylene, and built around a double helix Luer lock tip connection. The red straight wall piston is commonly used when thicker adhesive, sealant, grease, or paste needs reduced stringing and less rebound during the dispense stroke.

Use this piston when a 10cc barrel is the right volume for the job and the material is too viscous for a low-pressure easy-flow setup. Straight wall pistons do not wipe the barrel as tightly as white wiper pistons, so they are better matched to materials where controlled movement and reduced bounce matter more than a complete wall seal.
