Description

Bonstone Clear Gel epoxy is a transparent, two-part adhesive with a smooth gel consistency for stone fabrication, repair, and assembly. The 2:1 mix ratio and non-sag body support thin seams, vertical work, laminations, and crack injection while helping the mixed adhesive stay in the joint instead of draining away.

Where It Fits

This epoxy can bond stone to stone and stone to metal on suitable prepared surfaces. It is used for countertop seams, laminated edges, rodding work, monument repair, non-porous stone, and wider cracks where a gel is easier to control than a low-viscosity resin. The transparent cured appearance can be tinted with compatible liquid tints when the seam needs to coordinate with the surrounding material. Interior and exterior applications should be tested on the actual stone, finish, tint, and exposure conditions.

Mixing and Application

Measure two parts A to one part B by volume and blend thoroughly until the mixture is uniform. Prepare the bond area by removing dust, moisture, oil, wax, and loose material. Apply enough epoxy to wet both sides of the joint, assemble the pieces, and support them without movement while the material sets. The product information reports a set time of about two hours at 75 F. Cooler conditions can extend the set, while warmer conditions can shorten the working window.
